The Congregational Church in North Chelmsford began with a group of believers in Jesus Christ gathering together in 1821. By 1824 they successfully petitioned the town of Chelmsford to organize a new Christian meeting house in the northwest section of town. After a fire in 1893 burned the Second Meetinghouse on Middlesex St. our current church was built at 15 Princeton St. and was open for worship early 1894. An educational wing was added in 1959.
In 1980, the church became a recognized member of the nationwide Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC), an evangelical fellowship of like-minded churches and credentialed individual members with ministerial standing.
Our church family gathers for regular worship services every Sunday morning. We also encourage members and friends to live out their love and faith in Jesus Christ on a daily basis as the “scattered” church” at home, at work, at play, and at places of service to our wider community.
We recognize that we are just one church that makes up the Church, the fellowship of all believers in Jesus Christ, therefore we seek to serve alongside them to advance the Kingdom of God in this region.
