SUMMARY:Exploring Our Heritage
DESCRIPTION:Becoming Modern Day Pilgrims \nCome and hear the story of congregationalism as we strive for unity in Christ for our future.  Rev. Nick Granitsas will share about the pilgrims and what sets congregationalism apart as we understand the key aspects of our heritage as a denomination from its beginnings and its development through history. \nRefreshments will be served and there will be time for Q&A. \n  \nRev. Nick Granitsas served as pastor of First Congregational Church in Revere MA for 46 years. Now retired\, he continues to serve as the Interim pastor at Forestdale Community Church in Malden\, MA and as the CCCC area pastor for Greater Boston. Pastor Nick has taught the Denomination Standards of the CCCC course at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary for over 40 years. He and his wife Joan have been married for over 54 years.

SUMMARY:Child Safe Training
DESCRIPTION:Over the past several months members of the church have been busy writing a "Child Safe Policy." This policy outlines the church policy and our procedures for those who care for the children in the church. As required by our insurance\, all members in leadership\, on the diaconate\, and those who want to work with youth are required to take the training. The training can be done at home\, and a link will be sent to you\, or you can attend the in-person training on Sunday\, March 16th immediately following the service. This will be a 2-hour training session and is necessary in the event of any reports of abuse or suspected abuse. Please know that a full CORI and background check must be conducted to ensure full compliance to this policy.
